DBA Khouruso
(Khouros x DBA Mi Brutessa)
2001 Arabian stallion

UPDATE June, 2010: Andre is now standing at a local breeding farm in the area. Please call 920-419-7447 for more information and contact details.

"Andre" is a very intelligent horse with a kind heart, excellent ground manners, and top quality, old style bloodlines. He enjoys working and always meets his humans at the gate with a nicker. If he's in the far corner of his field, a whistle brings him running. He has received the highest of compliments from all who have met him on his impeccable manners, conformation, and loving personality. He sports long, correct legs, a huge powerful trot, heavy bone, long sloping shoulder, and the "sleep in your tent" demeanor. He does not know the meaning of "stud chain over the nose." He's handled in a simple leather halter and plain leadrope, even when near mares or in a strange environment. Andre is a complete joy to work with and is one of those horses that just makes you happy to be in his presence.

Andre is mostly Egyptian breeding, yet he is a solid 15.2 hands and has a wide, powerful chest and deep barrel. His substantial body size, great feet, and wonderful temperament are an asset to the breed. He is built to trot and that trait serves him well on the trail.

We believe that any stallion worth passing on his bloodline should be intelligent, trainable, rideable, easy to handle, and absolutely no problem around the farm. Andre earns an A+ in all categories. He shares a fence line with the mares, is stalled with mares on either side of him and across the aisle, and he is never isolated or treated any differently then a horse should be. He was raised in a band of broodmares and therefore respects herd dynamics.

Andre is proving himself to be quite a great trail horse! He is bold and forward, and most importantly not spooky, nervous, or stressed. He eats and drinks well away from home, and trailers perfectly. He leads or follows, and just seems happy to be carrying his rider down the trail. Everyone who meets Andre is impressed with his sweet disposition, and "zen" like nature. He has no vices or bad habits that are typical of many stallions. He possesses great intelligence, athleticism, temperament and the physical ability to master the trail.

Foals of this wonderful stallion share his lovely disposition and trainability. They have size, presence, and good conformation.

If you value a solid minded working horse with great disposition and conformation, this is your guy. You won't find him rearing at the end of a chain shank in the halter ring or snorting and blowing for the cameras with his eyes greased up, but if you care about raising an old-style, hard working, classic Arabian horse, he may be a good choice for your mare. Andre is now standing at a local breeding farm in the area. Please call 920-419-7447 for breeding information.
