The
Trailer Eyes ® camera is a wireless trailer monitoring system
that is easy to install (takes 5 minutes and no special tools)
and is affordable. It allows you to have peace of mind while
trailering, and once you are used to traveling with it, you
won't know how you ever did without it. I used to worry about
bumps and sways I could feel behind me - was that just the
pavement, or did my horse fall? If you trailer babies, green
horses, sick horses enroute to the emergency clinic, or
valuable riding horses, you need a trailer camera.
Traditionally, only closed circuit systems were available that
start around $1,000 and go up. The Trailer Eyes camera can be
hard-wired into your truck and trailer if you prefer a more
permanent application. Otherwise, if used portably, it can
easily be removed and placed in a different trailer if needed.
We've all heard the horror stories - someone's horse
fell through the floor boards - someone forgot to latch the
back trailer door and the horse fell out - a horse went down
under the partition and couldn't get up - a horse got hung up
in their trailer tie and panicked. If you have a trailer
camera, you have the ability to know instantly if there's a
problem with your horses.
Even something as simple as
- is my horse eating his hay? Is there too much wind or rain
in his face? Does he looked stressed, or is she resting
comfortably? How many times have hauled a mare and foal and
drove white-knuckle down the highway wondering how the baby
was? Knowing the answers to these issues can make your horse's
trailering experience more pleasant. You have the ability to
pull over and make adjustments as soon as you notice a
problem.
