I have recently been introduced to Trailer Eyes ®, a wireless trailer monitoring system that is easy to install (takes 5 minutes and no special tools) and affordable. Enroute to an endurance ride recently I felt my horse jumping around in the trailer but continued driving because she is sometimes prone to this behavior. I arrived at ridecamp two hours later to find a bloody, ripped blanket and a gash about 2" long in her left hip. She must have fallen under the partition, and unfortunately I did not know about it. If I had a trailer monitor in place I would have been able to pull over at the first sign of trouble. Lesson learned!
